AV / VC Technical Engineer / Sales

ADV Communications

ADV Communications are a leader in providing Audio Visual Solutions, Video conferencing and Services, based in the UK but encompassing a multinational client base across all sectors.

ADV Communications are currently seeking to expand its team due to expansion in the global Audio Visual marketplace and require the following addition to the AV team.

Working within the AV team and assisting the Account Managers in providing Audio Visual design, specifications and detailed quotation / proposals. Must be a self-starter and motivator with strong attention to detail.

The ideal applicant should possess knowledge of AV/VC technology and system operation to provide sales support to the AV team and providing costs and design, scope of works and work with the AV Team.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Good technical knowledge and understanding of AV equipment and system design / operation, including latest products and technology.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Video Conference system operation and Infrastructure to include (Polycom / Poly, Cisco, MS Teams, Zoom, Logitech,Tandberg, Lifesize) – not mandatory but useful
  • Basic knowledge in understanding Control systems operation (Crestron, AMX, Extron)
  • Knowledge and understanding IT networks and system infrastructure (SIP, VOIP DANTE)
  • Understanding of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Projects etc
  • Implementation of A/V systems with installation support
  • Assist in performing site surveys and installations of various Audio, Video and Control systems
  • Attend customer support visits when necessary
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, time management and organization skills.
  • Requirement to improve training and skills through continuous improvement following the company training policy
  • It is expected that applicants on the most part will be working with client support and internal IT calls, based in the office with the possible requirement to travel within EMEA regions and in some cases further afield.

Preferred Skills But Training Provided:

  • CTS/CTS-I/CTS-D Certification. (AV Team currently progressing with CTS Certification)
  • Familiarity with Polycom VC / DSP, Cisco VC, AMX, Crestron, Hybrid Collaboration Systems including Microsoft Teams, Zoom.
  • Basic tools to work with dedicated system programmers – for example Soundstructure Studio and Crestron Toolbox.

Salary will be dependent on experience and Industry knowledge. A competitive package is on offer for the right candidate.

Site Contract Supervisor – Si-Serve

Si-SERVE

Job Summary: We are looking for a Site Project Supervisor to assist in the planning, preparation, execution, and summary of Si-Serve Contracts in the UK Water Industry. The ideal candidate will be motivated and have a drive for creativity which will clearly reflect in all our contracts. The job is to work closely within the Si-Serve team preparing for each contract prior to arriving on-site in which you will then be expected to represent the company and direct your team to undertake the works, achieving the professional standards that Si-Serve strive towards.

Our head office is based in Kettering, but contracts can be anywhere in the UK meaning you will be required to work away from home during contracts and when not on contract, willing to be in the office working closely with the Si-Serve Team. Ideally, the candidate will be local to the Kettering Head Office and able to commute themselves.

A competitive salary and package are on offer due to the nature of the role and the job includes both practical and administrative duties.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • On-Site and Office working when required.
  • Onsite Management of Squads.
  • Work closely with all departments were required before, during, and after projects.
  • Be prepared to provide technical assistance ahead of contracts to deliver an efficient and innovative method of working for all of our clients.
  • Complete all required administration duties to comply with QA/QC and Health and Safety Regulations onsite and in office.
  • Have the ability and industry knowledge to adapt to situations whilst onsite and resolve any issues that may occur safely and efficiently.
  • Be willing to mobilize and work on/through weekends depending on the contract.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in working within the UK water industry.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience of working as a supervisor on a site and overseeing a team.
  • A valid CSCS card license.
  • Knowledge of the Water Health and Safety Regulations, preferably with a Valid EUSR Water Hygiene Card.
  • A full UK Driving Licence, preferably a clean license along with a trailer license
  • Confined Space Entry experience, preferably with a valid CSE/BA certificate
  • Ability to carry out First Aid with preferably a certificate in First Aid at Work.
  • Experience of driving plant equipment, preferably with valid licenses
    available.

Scaffolders/Rope Access

DICKERMAN OVERSEAS CONTRACTING COMPANY LTD

Experienced qualified personnel with offshore/onshore scaffolding experience. Personnel should have a good history of managing a number of personnel onsite with a variety of different nationalities.

Offshore documentation to be supplied on application also a Criminal background check should be submitted at the time of application.

  • Offshore experience is desirable but not essential.

  • Minimum Part 2 CISRS Basic Scaffolder.
  • Valid BOSIET or FOET Offshore Certification.
  • Full UKOOA Medical

MIST: Minimum Industry Standards Training.

Offshore/Marine Superintendents

DICKERMAN OVERSEAS CONTRACTING COMPANY LTD

Experienced personnel with Marine/Offshore/Onshore grit blasting/water blasting and airless spray coating application skills. Personnel should have a good history of managing a number of personnel onsite with a variety of different nationalities.

This role will involve managing overseas nationals and will require full contract management to the highest level. Reporting back to head office with contract progression, QA/QC feedback, and toolbox talk documentation, etc on a regular basis.
